I usually explain the concept in the first half of the lesson, then start with some basic exam questions while finishing the lesson with A*/A level challenging exam questions. Lessons end with an exam question booklet given as homework to consolidate the knowledge, and the next lesson begins with again going through the questions which were not understood after self-marking by the answers emailed...

In terms of my experience I've been tutoring for past years both in person and online. I've also taught at Prime Tuition Academy and was a mentor at my school for two years during A levels.
