I believe that every student is unique and try to adopt my teaching methodology to suit the needs and abilities of different students. Passion for teaching, good communication, empathy and patience are some of my greatest strengths as a teacher and I use a friendly approach in my teaching to ensure that my students feel comfortable to ask any questions and that no student is left out.

My teaching methods are interactive methods and include a lot of practice questions that are key to learning accounting and allow my students to gain the required knowledge and understanding to do well in their assessments. I usually start from the basics and build up students knowledge by adding more information and exam style questions.

My teaching background includes more than five years of teaching experience in Oman, in particular at Muscat University where I was also the Programme leader for the Accounting Programme until the end of September 2022 and more than six years of experience in an Australian university in Vietnam. During my career I have improved students’ performance in courses that had exceptionally high failure rates by developing both in-class and online materials that improved their understanding, as well as using communication methods that retained their interest and attention.

As a lecturer I have taught everything from Introductory Accounting, Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Applied Management Accounting, Strategic Management Accounting and International Financial Reporting through Corporate Finance to Tax Accounting and acquired advanced background knowledge having completed my Chartered Certified Accountancy Qualification from ACCA.
