I would prefer using PowerPoint to make learning slides and interactive quiz sites to allow students to challenge themselves with what they've learned.
The content won't be very word heavy as the PowerPoints will mainly have selective images that I can talk through and the student can simply ask me to talk through it again or even show it to them a different way.
From experience, students all have different learning paths and because of this I'm open to adaptability and allowing the student to take control over the studying best suited for them.
The dynamics during the tutoring session will be slightly strict but only to push the student but with light tones to let the student feel more comfortable and happy to learn rather than hating it.
After a particular topic is covered in enough detail, I will give the student some practice questions or quiz to test their knowledge and retention and it will be graded to determine where their understanding is. I am open to providing the student with homework and self study plans so that they can learn independent work.
I will also be wanting to address their work commitment and the expectations for where they hope to be after tuition and what they're motivation is.
I will select specific materials to use in the lessons that are tailored to the students preferred method of studying and to keep them engaged in the topics.
Lastly, study guides can be made to sort out a more organised schedule for the student and sending worksheets with specific instructions for printing for ease.
