My initial experience was physical, with a variety of games and activities demonstrated to keep students engaged and attentive. I never wish to take away the fun in learning from a student. When the pandemic hit, I had to shift to online classes, locally. Although difficult at first, I was able to adapt and figure out multiple methods to keep students engaged online.
My favorite lessons to teach have always been the science lessons, whereby I would teach students on different things, from animals to space. I like to showcase many pictures, a few short videos, and diagrams to deliver the lesson in a more direct way. From pop-quizzes to random questions during the lesson, I test the students' understanding and memory. Finally, through activities and challenges (usually in the form of games), I engage the students while helping them learn and remember the lesson well.
Every now and then I like to give out homework and do quizzes/tests whenever needed, especially when a lesson proved to be more challenging than usual.
