Hello!
About me: I am a mechatronics engineer (B.sc and M.sc in mechatronics engineering), and a current PhD candidate. I worked as a teaching assistant for over four years, having taught dynamic modeling and control courses where Python, C++, MATLAB and Simulink were extensively used at three renowned universities (UK, Canada and Egypt) for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
I have excellent communication skills and a perfectly sound American accent.
My methods are quite effective as I rely mainly on visual aids to help students capture basic programming principles with ease. I help students enhance their programming skills by giving loads of problem solving exercises that help, not only strengthen their coding skills, but also provide them with the critical thinking and design approach they would later need in their academic and professional lives.
I use interactive slides and a dynamic tone of voice to keep students engaged and focused. I also embed good programming practices into my examples to make the student fully aware of the unspoken conventions of the programming industry. My teaching style is motivated by a "zero to hero" mentality, in which I try to make a programming guru out of an absolute beginner!!
I am looking forward to this excellent opportunity and can't wait to see you.
Sincerely,
Samer
