One session will generally start with three questions of three different difficulties on a specific topic which student may be struggling with.
We will then go through step by step on each question on how to complete it and show the correct working out to obtain full marks
Then a set of varied exam questions on the same topic will be given to the student to complete any support required will be provided
Then I will ask the aspiring student/s how they feel on this topic if still they don’t feel comfortable we will not move on and go through again next time otherwise we will move on to the next topic.
I will also recommend YouTube videos or certain websites which can help an even greater understanding or provide even more exam questions practice.

Closer we get to exam day our sessions will be more focused on whole paper 1/2/3 walk throughs where students will give the question a go first then we will go through together explain each step along the way.

I also aim to create a group in which I will create all my tutees and other volunteer tutors in which students will be able to access 24x7 to ask questions and answer questions - this can create a good learning community where everyone is encouraged and supported by others willing to help improve grades and increase mathematical knowledge. Studies have shown that when others around you have similar goals you are more likely to be focused and motivated towards learning.
