History is an incredible subject and I wish to share this enthusiasm with students. I will first start off with basic retrieval to support the development of knowledge and will occasionally look back on previous learning to embed knowledge. Active learning is encouraged and I will answer as many questions in our time together as possible. I have a 2 degrees in history, specialising in WW1, WW2 and anything to do with military history. I also worked in a classroom setting for 2 years and am hoping to make a difference outside of the classroom as well as in it. I am big on praise and recognising students for their achievements in the classroom big or small no matter how they are performing at current time.

Lessons will be adapted to fit the students needs the more I get to know their strengths and weaknesses focusing on both skills and knowledge needed to be successful in history. Homework will not be given however I do expect students to come prepared so they can get the most out of their learning. I want you to succeed just as much as you want to succeed.

I have a lot of experience working with SEND students and non SEND students who have made phenomenal progress over the course of my last 2 years as a classroom teacher. While I am more familiar with the AQA exam board, I can adapt my teaching to fit any exam board and the requirements of that specification.
