My lessons usually follow a structure of a quick starter, introduction of relevant vocabulary and content, main body of the lesson and a plenary for recap.
I like the lesson to be interactive but reflective, so that the student has every opportunity to be vocal and included.
I’m proficient in the teaching of literature, language and have recently had the pleasure of teaching English as a foreign language in China. Tutoring to help children manage their learning with regards to SATS has been in my life for many years, and I have helped students to develop their skills and knowledge for both GCSE and A level literature.
I have experience teaching children and adults of all ages and abilities, so therefore I understand how to tailor a lesson to fit a student’s learning style and ability; each lesson is unique.
I’m friendly, professional and personable. I like to stress the importance of making the lessons fun but informative; encouraging students to be relaxed and to be able to enjoy their learning is paramount to me, and their engagement and participation is vital to their learning journey.
