I grew up in the United States in the Appalachian Mountains. (Did you know that the Appalachians and the Cairngorms were connected before Pangea split?) My cooking can be described as county with comfort.

From age 17-22 I worked in the restaurant business as a hostess, waitress, dishwasher, and prep cook.

After leaving that job and learning that retail just isn’t for me, I moved on to work as an in-home caregiver and then in childcare.

My passions are teaching and cooking. And I’m hoping that I can teach others to feel the same way about food that I do.

I am gentle but extremely eager to teach anyone who needs help.

My teaching will be virtual but having a ring light, a phone, and a microphone means you will be able to see and hear everything clearly! From fried eggs to whole Christmas turkeys, I can teach anyone to cook so long as they are willing to learn!

I never expect perfection. After all, if they were already perfect they wouldn’t be here. I don’t do anything too expensive or fancy as money is tight and not everyone is interested in things they would find in a fancy restaurant that requires you to abide by the dress code. I teach people how to make regular food for regular folks with what could be considered an “American twist”. Please, take a breath, remember it’s all going to be okay, and we can take this one step at a time.
