My aim as a tutor is to help students have a good understanding of the topics, by identifying the areas they need more support with. I will begin by teaching the core concepts to ensure that each student has a good foundation, to then build upon the more complex topics. My main teaching style is through using active recall methods and diagrams to help explain concepts to students. I will also provide practice questions for the students to consolidate their knowledge after each session.

The lessons will be online through zoom and will be extremely interactive using the zoom whiteboard. I will also make powerpoint and notes for students to utilise after each lesson.
Each session will be specifically tailored to each student and their exam board. I have had 4 years of tutoring experience and am also able to provide tips on revision methods and strategies to help with the student`s own self-study outside of tutoring sessions.

We will also utilise many past paper questions to build upon your knowledge and improve exam technique. I will also set certain dates during our tutoring sessions where I will provide my students with a short exam on the content we have covered to identify any gaps in knowledge and show areas of improvement. This will help students feel more prepared for upcoming exams.

I am also happy to help aspiring medicine and dentistry students with advice on the UCAT and personal statements! For medical School advice the sessions will be focused on the students university choices.
