Sam has a decade of experience teaching physics and maths to students ranging from year 7 students starting out at secondary to masters and research students about to graduate from university. That means that, no matter what your level, he understands where you are coming from, where you're trying to get to, and how to get there.
The style of lessons varies from student to student, but Sam will impart a genuine passion for the subject, from someone at the cutting edge of modern research. A friendly environment, and clear understanding of the foundations are key to progression. Different students learn in different ways, and a key benefit of 1-to-1 tuition is that lessons can be specifically tailored to the needs of individual students. For example, GCSE students preparing for exams need lots of exam practice, whilst younger students often benefit from reinforcement of the foundations upon which to build a deeper understanding.
Sam holds a Master's degree in physics, a PGCE in physics education, Qualified Teacher Statue, a PhD in astrophysics, is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and has taught in secondary schools and universities in England, Germany and the Netherlands
