- I am available for both face to face (Rushcliffe area) and online lessons which would take place after school hours or at weekends.
- Prior to our first session I will ask questions to establish the gaps in your understanding, your current level of working and the learning objectives.
- Learning objectives will follow what is required in the national curriculum.
- I will use a variety of resources to make the lessons engaging and fun.
- Some children struggle in confidence when it comes to maths. This can be for a number of reasons but is usually a misconception that maths is too difficult to learn and boring. However, I believe that when approached in a methodical, structured way, students can develop their confidence and learn to enjoy both the arithmetic and reasoning elements of the maths curriculum.
- The structure of the lessons will be 'I do, We do, You do' and involve re-visiting any concepts you are not fully confident with from previous sessions.
- There will usually be a task set to complete in between sessions to further ensure your understanding of the topic.
- I have an interest in how children learn and will be flexible in my pedagogical approaches to lessons. This means that I will adapt my teaching techniques to best fit individual needs.

I can be contacted anytime to discuss needs and timings of sessions. I will be flexible and work around students and their other commitments. I look forward to hearing from you.
