Being a senior student, I understand the potential struggles of learning in school, and therefore I also understand the most effective ways in teaching and tutoring younger students to improve their confidence, understanding and skills within a subject.
I have previously been employed in jobs working with and developing younger students in subjects such as P.E, Art and Music, and so I have experience in communicating with pupils in an engaging and encouraging way.
Throughout my years of studying Geography I have found, developed and mastered various strategies that allowed me to achieve the highest grades possible in both GCSE and A-Level.
My sessions are professional, in order to cover content and use the time in the most efficient ways possible, however they are also conversational and relaxed in order to create a sustainable and enjoyable working environment which attempts to balance out the various stresses that school can create.
In my experience, students respond and work best when they can relate to and form a relationship with their tutor. I aim to help my pupils feel comfortable in discussing ideas and allow them to choose the pace that we work at to give them the freedom in progressing without the pressures of the school atmosphere.
I also find that if the tutor is passionate about the subject they teach, the students respond well and have an increased urge to develop and improve. Of course this is my aim: To encourage and develop students' knowledge and understanding of subjects in a professional yet relaxed and stress-free atmosphere.
