Both in person and remote, I will hold a guitar the same as you. I will print out Tab sheets for you to practice with, and will explain some basic music theory.

For less experienced guitarists, we will begin with basic chord shapes and moving between them, along with some explanations of how to use Tab.

For slightly more experienced guitarists, we will be working on how to improve your style of playing. I will listen to your playing and try to help steer you into improving your strengths to begin with. After that, we will be trying to improve your less confident areas of playing.

If you are really skilled with guitar, we will be looking at what you want to achieve with your lessons, and analyse how I can best help you reach that level of playing. This will usually include specific styles of playing, such as fingerstyle, soloing, increased speed (shredding), just as a few examples.

If you do not hold any guitar grade achievements, we can work on getting them for you. I will help teach the Trinity rock grading system, and prepare you for gradings!

I have experience with Trinity, as I have an official Grade 6 (and unofficial grade 8) from the books. I am currently studying creative music technology at Swansea, so we can discuss recordings and ideas as well if that is what you are interested in!
