I have taken GCSE and A-level maths, obtaining a level 8 and B, respectively. I intend to teach maths from primary school up to and including GCSE level. I recently graduated from the University of Birmingham and am currently studying for a master's at UCL. I am very familiar with the maths content, having helped my younger brother with his syllabus, as well as studying for accountancy exams beginning in 2024. I am most familiar with the Edexcel content; however, I am willing to learn the AQA format if students require it.
In the past, I have tutored maths at KS3 and GCSE level online during my time at university. The students I tutored not only got better at maths but also more confident in their ability to tackle challenging problems. I have also been helping my younger brother for a couple of years with his KS3 edexcel maths course, so I am very familiar with the content.
I am all about practising, ensuring students fully understand the content they have been presented with. Work doesn't need to be rushed, and I am happy to go as slowly as possible, so long as there is a real understanding of the content. That being said, I believe people should be challenged to achieve their best. Therefore, I strive to push my students to tackle hard problems and push their limits to get the best grades possible. Finally, I am easy to reach and encourage questions at all times, as I want my students to be aware of what they need to do.
