For my lessons the first will be more to find out what you want to focus on and learn, as well as completing a test to also highlight where improvements can be made. Then, those topics and areas of concern will be addressed through teaching in a way specific to you that helps you learn best as there’s many learning types. Lessons may include going through exam questions together, making revision materials, assigning homework, periodic tests to measure progress, or anything else that may help or be requested. The best type of tutoring is one specific to the student!
