I will start off the lessons with a test to figure out what your existing knowledge is. Then, I build off my lessons based on that. The basic lesson will start off the lesson with a fun video in English (music video, spoken word poetry video, TED talk, interview, etc) and then we will work through pre-prepared questions. We will analyse what your mistakes are, and then walk through step by step how to improve on your comprehension mistake. Then, we will go on to the writing sample. I will give you a prompt and you will write an answer in 5 minutes. Then we will work through your answer, and review mistakes. I will give you tips on how you could improve, and contextual language differences. We will cover everything from sentence structure to vocabulary and formal versus informal language.

However, I am also able to teach personalised lessons. If you need help writing an essay, wording a phrase, with your university preparation or your school work, I can walk you through the assignment, explain exactly what is expected of you, give you tips on academic writing, and review your final product. I will not write your assignment for you, but you will get a personalised one-on-one review of your work! After the first lesson, when you tell me what your goals are for the tutoring sessions, I will also make sure to include interactive elements to help you build off of the assignments that we work on together so that you won't need tutoring in the future! My goal is to help you achieve your goals, whatever they may be, and build fun lessons where you learn while having fun. I know from personal experience that this is the most effective way to learn a language!
