I have 32 years of teaching experience in Further Education, progressing ESOL students from beginner level right through to level 2. I have also taught for a year in primary education helping international children aged 6-13 access their lessons.

Using lots of visual and auditory information to get you talking, listening, reading and writing I will assess your needs and level and find out what you are hoping to achieve.

I create stimulating lessons on a range of topics from: global warming, contemporary art, healthy lifestyles, science and technology, cultural festivals around the world, social media or any topics you would like to cover.

Using video footage, mind mapping, online games, written exercises on word docs, drawing tools, Power point presentations, role play, joke telling and many more tools, I will stimulate your thoughts and work at a pace that is suitable for you. Even grammar work can be interesting too, and I will patiently lead you through your lessons until you feel confident that you have grasped each objective, and you feel ready to move forwards.

It doesn't matter what level you are, or even what age you are. If you are in primary school I have toys, songs and stories for you to learn English, or if you are trying to get into university I can formulate lessons around the IELTS standard using the target language of the course you are aiming to study. Or if you just want to be able to hold interesting English conversations, or access English services like health centres or hospitals and improve your vocabulary and grammar, I can offer you the chance to practise just that.
