I am someone who takes my work seriously and I would like to express an interest in the role of a maths teacher. I am delighted to say that I am passionate about teaching. I have taught maths in Iran for 5 years to the ages of 16-18 and I have taught Functional Skills maths E3 and Level 2 curriculum to adult learners in the UK for 2 years. I also completed my GCSE maths and Level 3 in maths numeracy teaching in the UK 2 years ago. In addition, studying core maths Level 3 alongside being a membership of SET and attending their meeting would increase my knowledge and capability for the role.
I believe I would be a perfect fit for this role as I have the right skills. I am confident in identifying individual and specific needs through initial assessment and then finding their weakness and strength in the allocated level through diagnostic assessment.
Inclusive practice and ensuring that the learning is accessible to my learners is particularly important. Therefor, I would have a lot of multi-sensory techniques, a lot of small cooperative learning group work, teamwork, plus bringing in realia to make the learning meaningful for the learners. I would bring the subjects from the curriculum, but the content and context from real life situations.
If I am successful in my application, I will always be a positive role model for your college. I will be a hardworking, caring, trustworthy, and motivated person, and I will do all I can to help the team I am a part of to succeed.
