Have basic experience in breaking down the scientific principles of biology into their absorptive ideas while retaining the core concepts to appreciate. Able and willing to adjust lesson schedules and content based on the learners' needs/availability so that the learner can request lessons beforehand (more below). Comfortable in creating mini-exercises to reinforce the lessons take home messages alongside details. The lessons will ideally be over Zoom, Microsoft Teams if the former is not viable for any reason. Lesson timing would be 30 to 60 minutes and a regular schedule that would not clash with either my or the learner's responsibilities would be discussed in the first lesson (free of charge and open for discussion on concerns held in the understanding of relevant subject and academic struggles). Imagery such as equations, diagrams and analogous text will be taken from both the internet and drawn on paper. Microcosms of subjects that the students are struggling with should be sent at least two days in advance of the scheduled lesson and should detail what exactly the learner wishes to achieve in terms of understanding (eg. if a screenshot from a textbook is sent, the name, edition, and page number should be included as to better structure the lessons around progress in terms of the learners' specific academia). If more than one lesson will be needed to tackle difficulties in approaching a biological concept, then repeat lessons will be possible. Minor homework (such as articles or problems), as well as mini quizzes, may be implemented in the lessons. If the learner feels satisfied during any point in the lesson and wishes to end it early, they should alert me so that they will not be charged for lecture padding.
