I am a university student studying Civil engineering, I understand the struggle when it comes to revising for both GCSE’s and SATS. The method I used to revise for my exams were going over past papers, they are a crucial part of passing your exams. Keep in mind that only going over them won’t get you the grades you want, you will have to first understand the topics that are going to come up, you start with simple questions that can be found online or in simple maths books. When you are confident with each topic then you would start going over past papers. This process does take a while so cramping in a whole years worth of information in to 2 weeks is not going to benefit you in any sort of way, the only thing it would do would be adding on unnecessary stress. In my lessons I like to start of slow, get to know you, know what you’re struggling on, what you are most confident in and what you really need help on. Knowing just that I can assure you that you will benefit from my lessons as all of you getting the best possible grades will be my number 1 priority. I’ve been in the situation where I opened my envelope and I was upset that I did not get the grade I wanted, I don’t want any student to feel the way I did. Come to even 1 of my lessons, stay for an hour and ask yourselves can you see yourself improving in the next few months. If yes stay with me you won’t regret it, if no then no hard feelings!!
