If covering complete course is required over the academic year, I shall teach the curriculum right after the teacher at school has taught. This gives the student a chance to learn at school and refresh their learnings at home plus in that situation we can cover whatever the teacher might have missed.

If we are covering just the essential bits near an exam then my focus will be on learning through problem solving since the student has to be prepared as such in a short time.
