So in my point of view any explanation of a topic or any discussion or any tutoring should take place once the student has a brief idea about it. What I usually follow is to read only the topic headlines and just seeing through the whole chapter and then trying to understand it , so that the brain can know what it needs to do in advance. My way of teaching will require the student to do more of explanations because explaining is the best way of preparing. Science is the most interesting subject u can find to read and understand, everything is connected and it is very easy if u find the single logic point between topics. There are many techniques out there for studying but the best one is always the one you are uncomfortable with ,yes I said uncomfortable. Because once you are uncomfortable you start adapting and start changing your ways for the subject. Once that happens you will get a grip of how you can manage your different subjects at once. My experience of tutoring is mainly with my classmates I always keep explaining topics to them , I remember the topics that I explained more than the ones I read alone from a textbook. And I want to apply the same principle in the tutoring sessions. As I said explanation is the key to preparation. I haven't had a live student experience but I am sure we shall have a great time learning subjects. looking forward ??
