I have taught my two twin cousins for GCSE and one had a love for maths the other did not so I would tutor them very differently as people learn in different ways; and I believe the best approach to teaching maths is just finding the route that the student understand. With maths there can be many various ways to approach a question so I strongly encourage students not to get disheartened if they don’t understand because there is always another way we can go about it. I also find that practising a lot of the same type of questions really develops a stronger understanding and using the methods that their school teaches is important so there is little confusion. My main hope is that my passion for maths seeps through to my students so they find it enjoyable and almost therapeutic from the patterns that reoccur in maths.
