I always start off with some exam practise for active recall for the first 15 minutes, the middle 30 minutes i use to cover content and the last 15 minutes the student will consolidate content through a plenary and exam questions which we mark. I teach all my students active recall methods as well as study and revision techniques including the pomodoro technique. I aim to tailor the way i teach to a students individual needs through identifying where their main weaknesses lie, for example using key words to gain marks in exam practise, content and understanding core concepts or learning from markschemes.
