First things first, I always like to get to know my students. I will ask you about your academic and non-academic interests and try to find the best way to communicate and teach you based on your characteristics. Then we get to it; mathematics!
First I will evaluate your knowledge on the subject at hand by asking you a few simple and basic questions. Then we will start with the preliminaries which can take up to one session based on the subject and you, yourself. After covering the preliminaries and making sure you have gotten all the ingredients, we will get started on the main subject. I usually illustrate the subject by explaining the basic mathematical ideas and working on several examples ranging from simple to more complicated ones. In order to consolidate the mathematical concepts you have the opportunity to solve problems yourselves in class and also as homework.
As you are aware, mathematical subjects have a very close relationship with each other, and the order of learning these subjects is very important. Therefor at the start of every session you can present what you have been working on, and ask questions if you have any.
It is encouraged for you to ask questions about different fields of mathematics like algebra, trigonometry, geometry, combinatorics, and number theory. I will try to the best of my abilities to answer all your questions and introduce you to new things so you can find your way around the world of mathematics and thrive in it.
