I am a dedicated secondary school Maths teacher with nearly 15 years of experience, specialising in KS3 and KS4 (GCSE) Mathematics. Over the years, I have developed a strong passion for helping students understand and appreciate the subject, using a variety of teaching methods to meet their diverse needs. I am also an experienced tutor, providing personalized support to students looking to improve their understanding of mathematical concepts.

As an exam marker for the board, I have gained valuable insight into the assessment process, which informs my teaching and enables me to provide targeted guidance on exam preparation. This experience helps me identify common student difficulties and tailor lessons to address specific areas of concern, ensuring students are well-prepared and confident.

In my tutoring sessions, I begin with an initial assessment, typically using an appropriate past paper or diagnostic test to pinpoint areas of improvement. Based on this, I develop a focused learning plan. However, if students already have a specific topic list, I am happy to work from there to ensure the sessions are as effective as possible.

I believe that learning Maths should be engaging and accessible, so I use a variety of methods—such as visual aids, practical examples, and interactive resources—to make complex topics easier to understand. My approach is student-centered, aiming to boost confidence and problem-solving skills, while also preparing students for the challenges of exams.
