Hello! Thanks for visiting my page, it’s good to see you!

Let me introduce myself: I have been a fully qualified primary school teacher for the last 3 years. Last April, I completed the TEFL course and taught English to children and adults in South East Asia. I taught English as a foreign language in primary school since October 2023. I love playing and watching sports, I’ve played football (English) and Gaelic football (Irish) for years. I also love music and have experience both playing and teaching piano professionally. I enjoy reading and doing sudoku puzzles in my spare time.

I believe you learn best by doing, which is why I focus on the everyday use of language. The best way to practise English is to use English. I try to put the spotlight on my students, by getting them to talk about things they like or are interested in. You’ll be practising and learning English without feeling like it.

If however you feel you would benefit from more structured lessons, that’s fine too. We can go over grammar and language rules until you are confident in how they work.

As my lessons are online, we will be focussing on oral work to gauge your understanding at the end of each topic. If you have access to a primer I can email you worksheets to practice with between lessons. If you don’t that’s okay.
