I have been tutoring for a year preparing children for Maths, English and Non-Verbal Reasoning. Its crucial for me to understand the areas that my students struggle with, so I can help improve and build confidence in those specific areas. Its all about practice and not giving up and anything can be achieved with dedication and interest over time.

Usually I show the techniques to solve an issue, and then provide repetitive similar exercises. Followed by some time-out tests to see accuracy and any further inputs and areas for improvements.
