I have a BA (hons.) in English Language and Literature and have also completed a PGCE in Primary Education (7-11 years) with QTS. I have experience teaching across the primary phase in Key Stage 1 and Key stage 2. I have been teaching for almost 3 years. I have a real passion for teaching and accelerating pupil progress. I embody a child-centred and nurturing philosophy of teaching, which helps children to build confidence and overcome obstacles in their learning.

I have been tutoring since June 2022. I have helped children to become more confident and independent in their learning by helping them to understand mathematical concepts and help build their understanding of mathematical vocabulary. As a result, children can tackle reasoning and problem solving questions with ease. I have helped children improve their attainment in English by improving spelling, punctuation and grammar skills. I have also ensured children develop a love for writing, thus enabling them to incorporate excellent language devices into their writing. I always make sure to track my students progress through baselines assessments and term tests to identify learning gaps. In response I am able to close learning gaps and focus on weaker areas in more depth.

I create reports every session to ensure parents are regularly informed on their children's learning and progress and will always give homework to ensure learning is practised and recapped at home.
