Preparation

First of all I will ask what kind of music you would want to be playing to gauge where to take the lesson. Then after this I will have you chose one of your favourite songs and we will have a listen through. We will then proceed to pull the sheet music from the internet via my laptop and I will show you how to break a song in to different parts in order to learn it piece by piece (this ensures you are not overwhelmed and remember each part)

Playing

Once we have got an understanding of your desired song we will then begin to learn our chord shapes and what these chords represent. It will not be easy and requires a lot of patience, however my goal is that by the first lesson we have a better understanding of our instrument and the chords required in order to put a song together.

Future lessons

As we continue to learn our song of choice and maybe a few others, I will once again ask what direction you would like to go in with the lessons. This could mean the lessons would stay the same or we could learn about different methods it’s all your choice as I want the lessons to be free flowing and personalised to you.
