Primarily we will have 1 to 1 calls over video call, sharing images of your work and looking at old master work together through the chat .I like to ask the student what sort of art they would like to make and give them the right tools and advice on how to work in a certain manner . My lessons will be broken down into different stages. We will discuss what you have been working on. We will look at the artists work you admire, we will then put together an action plan to get you to your desired goal. We will look at the tools and materials you need for painting.For example brushes, medium, colour and what to paint on. We will look at the different ways of approaching painting. We will break down the steps together of the old masters and i will present a step by step guide relevant to your desired outcome.I will give you video demonstrations of painting and how to use the materials effectively.I will have slides that break down the steps of making a painting into easy digestible chunks. We will look at the works of the old masters and use this as our guide to learn about colour, composition, edges, tone, glazing and how to apply the paint.Analysing both the work you make and the old masters will guide us and we can troubleshoot any issues you find and go through the relevant steps to improve your work and giving you life long tools that you can use for years to come.
