Currently I am working as an Engineer in the local Manchester area, a job that I love. I am passionate about Maths and Excel and I believe that everyone (with enough time) can learn these skills themselves. But we don't have all the time in the world to sit in front of a computer screen, which is where a push in the right direction can really help.
I am a firm believer that anyone can learn Excel and that it is an extremely useful tool.
I have had 4 years studying for a Masters degree in Engineering where would use Excel for advanced calculations. I then spent the next 6 years teaching Excel and Power BI in corporate environments to those of all abilities and all ages. I have not yet had a stupid question.
Depending on the goals of the student the course lengths are between 3 - 30 sessions (from client experience). My style of lesson is flexible and tailored to each student. I can work within coorporate enviroments and personal sessions. As a starting point I have a "Excel Basics" Course in which I run through the basic; Formulas, Shortcuts, and functionality.
The standard layout for sessions is:
- Introductory call to understand the goals and to assess the current level of learning
- Sessions tailored to the goals
- Periodic reviews to evalute until the goals have been reached.
In addition to teaching Excel and Power BI I have an excellent all round knowledge of Microsoft applications. Including PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word, and MS Project.
