I am an experienced Head of English, having taught English to all abilities across the secondary school age range of My lessons will depend on the needs of the individual. I am an experienced Head of English, having taught English to all abilities across the secondary school age range of My lessons will depend on the needs of the individual. I believe that knowledge of sentence structure is essential for improving in a language as well as developing an extensive vocabulary. It is essential for a teacher to understand the strengths and weaknesses of a student and to prepare content for improvement. Each individual student learns in different ways and it is the duty of the teacher to respond accordingly. Repetition and practise are vital. Students should be enabled to utilise newly acquired skills and knowledge in order for consolidation. There should also be regular revisiting of previously covered lessons.
