I like to use Zoom to teach, as it is easy and efficient. I tend to teach younger years from the ages of 3-10, where I ensure I build upon their foundation of maths, starting with simple addition and working on their mental maths.
However, having study GCSE and A-Level maths, I have privately tutored many other age groups, ranging from 11-17; where I ensure their previous knowledge is applied in problem solving questions, working towards GCSE style questions.
Particularly, across all age groups I work on simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, depending on the age and try to teach the student easy and smart techniques in solving these questions, which I learnt as a child at KUMON, which throughly helped me. By grasping and creating a solid base, I have seen that students excel further and find maths much easier and simple.
I have taught at KUMON for the past 6 years and have a passion for teaching children. I work with children who also are diagnosed with ADHD, dyslexia and other disorders.
Working at kumon has only increased my ability to teach maths and work well with students. I believe I am patient and organised, as I tend to teach 2/3 children at the same time at Kumon.
The content of lessons will depend on what the student needs to focus more on and what they struggle with the most. As for the format, it will be online and I will provide extra information and questions for them to solve.
