I like to structure my lessons and come prepared. I would section out all the different topics and create activities and questions for each one. I usually like to start off by understanding my student more and figuring out the most suitable teaching technique for that particular individual, as they all differ in ways learning preferences. I initially teach the content , then question them in between each topic to make are they understood the content, create tasks and diagrams to aid them advise them when necessary. Finally , i like to end each session by asking the student to paraphrase to me what i had just taught them or teach it to me to make sure they have understood what we have learnt and ask them to complete a couple more tasks. I've found that having a more engaging and interactive sessions helps the students to not zone out and get bored. I've worked with students many that suffered from ADHD or lack of ability to stay focused, and have discovered many methods to keep their attention and awareness whilst teaching. Its all about creating a friendly and fun learning environment, and using diagrams and pictures and funny acronyms to remember things, and simplifying each topic down even a baby could understand .
