Each lesson would be tailored to the individual student. A rough lesson plan would look like this:

- a brief discussion of the students existing knowledge and understanding of the topic and their goals for the topic.
- a simple example question, which I explain and demonstrate to the student.
- an explanation of the topic, and the theory to go with it.
- a reflection on the first example question now we have more knowledge.
- a more complex example that we will work through together.
- time for discussion and questions.
- more examples that the student will try on their own but with my prompts and assistance when required.
- an opportunity for extension questions if they grasp the concepts.
- a discussion of what was learnt in the session and an opportunity for any last clarification.
- discuss what topic we wish to cover next session.
