My lessons are informative, clear and flexible. As I have a great love for English myself I have worked under many different styles to lengthen my understanding. I have found that an interactively stimulating lesson is more beneficial than simply receiving masses of information in one block.
My aim is to tutor so it suits the learner and their needs, meaning I am adaptable to all kinds of methodology. I like to begin sessions by answering any questions about the content or skills needed for the lesson. I then like to do a starter to give the student a taster of what's ahead before delving into the main body of the topic.I believe in a fair way of teaching without being harsh as I understand the importance of a comfortable teacher-student relationship. I am motivated on ensuring my students feel at ease in lessons as well as being well informed and interested. My passion for English means exploring all texts is of interest to me, meaning I'm happy to discuss all sides of the subject. To me no answer is a wrong answer, so I encourage confidence during my sessions. Furthermore I think within the subject discussion enhances fuller understanding and critical skills. My experiences entail a Level 3 qualification in Sports Leadership meaning I am comfortable in directing and guiding students. I also have been part of a debate team in secondary school to widen my literary skills. To conclude, my passion for the subject has made me appreciate the learning process in a way that I am excited to pursue it in the form of teaching and supporting students.
