For our lessons we can either do them online or in person depending on how far away you are but either way would be good. The first few lessons I would want to focus on what part of english you particularly struggle with whether that’s reading, writing or speaking and from there we would then be able to focus on your weaknesses to help improve your learning. I’m currently a sixth form student and in my school I often help with volunteering and specifically helping with the younger years in areas which they may need some additional support. I am part of a forum club and i run a club known as ‘mindspace’ in my school which is welcome to the younger years to speak about the importance of mental health as well as other issues that may be concerning them. As you already know, i am a literacy leader as well and i’m particularly passionate about this as i do believe it has made a difference to the students confidence in english especially in reading which is a significant skill for everyone. If you are a GCSE student i would be providing you with revision resources that i have personally made for english literature which helped me achieve an A* as well as specific revision methods that really helped me reach the higher level for english. I would also recommend books that we could read together either during our lessons (if reading is something you struggle with) or i would set you a few pages to read on a particular book that you are interested in each week.
