I Believe in teaching with an engaging and hands-on style. I offer lessons to people of all ages and levels. I am genuinely passionate about helping people develop their musicality and expression. From my experience, classes must be tailored individually for each student because everyone learns differently.
I have been teaching for five years and have loved each opportunity to meet, connect with and assist different creative people on their musical journeys.
I'm a professional drummer with over 16 years of performance and recording experience. I grew up in a family of musicians and had been discovering eclectic music from different eras and creating original music since the age of 12.
During these years, I've gained experience playing with many people. I enjoy playing genres ranging from Rock, Blues, Pop, Electronic, Funk, Jazz, Fusion, Drum & Bass, and Latin music.
I moved to London in 2019 to study and graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree specializing in Drumming at one of the top-tier music institutes in London 2019.
I was lucky to have "Richard Spaven" as a teacher.
I currently work as a session drummer and have lots of experience in recording, engineering, and mixing. I am happy to work with anyone in this capacity if they want help achieving a professional sonic quality for their recordings. I can also teach production and mixing techniques.
As a BEGINNER STUDENT, the first protocol is to get to know one another (the same applies to other standards). Feeling comfortable will create a safer space to make mistakes that will inevitably be made. We will also look at running through the motions of basic techniques and rhythms and how to practice efficiently.
INTERMEDIATE - Aside from the critical introductions of one another, we will get stuck in with addressing the elephant in the room - how to be a BETTER drummer. What is it that makes a professional sound the way they do? How can I be more fluent on the drums? How can I get more work? You may have questions like these, and the good news is- they're all the right questions! Together, we will address these and transform your current standard of playing.
ADVANCED - You got chops. You're solid. You have work. My experience in the industry has allowed me to hone in on the common areas of development from advanced players tend to be to expand your phrasings, learn new techniques that make your playing easier, discover your direction within the industry, kit sound, production, etc.
Do not hesitate to contact me for more info.
I look forward to working with you.
