Roxanne

I am currently a second year student majoring in Economics at the University of St Andrews. I studied Chinese most of my life, and have a broad understanding of the language. Having grown up in Hong Kong, I went to a local school where Chinese was taught as a first language. I ended up finishing my secondary school studies in Edinburgh, where I achieved top grades in all of my subjects.

I have past experience in teaching where I taught swimming to younger years for a year whilst in secondary school. Through teaching, I gained valuable skills such as communication and problem solving. I always prioritised my students needs.

My passion in teaching Chinese to others will hopefully fuel their curiosity in the language, whilst also gaining a basic understanding of how it is spoken, written, and read.
