At GCSE I developed a great understanding of academic subjects. My teaching methods include for the first session talking about you and your learning needs or preferred method, e.g. visual learning, repetitive learning (like using flashcards), practical learning, applied learning etc., in this first session we will discuss what your targets are and how you will hope to achieve them. We will also discuss your understanding on the topics and use a scale to measure that. In biology there are many topics to learn in a short amount of time, to validate your understanding there will be a short quiz at the end of each session on what we did that session and at the beginning of each session what we did last session. After each individual topic that we have gone over I'll email you a short test which I expect you to do to consolidate your learning. The sessions will not be quick paced and you are able to interrupt and ask questions if needed. I want my students to feel relaxed and unpressured around me, I'll be patient as I'm aware how difficult it is to wrap your mind around every topic. If a break is needed just ask! I'll pause our time and it won't cost any more money than each session already is. I am flexible on the price I'd be happy to settle for £15 an hour or even £10 if financial issues are applicable.
