I will tailor lessons to the students' needs, whether they need help in preparing for their art and design exams, or assistance in creating their portfolio and personal statement for art school. I will give students good examples to work from, and create practice questions fro exam preparation. For school exam preparation I will help them understand the marking scheme, as well as drawing out their own artistic or design interests to create genuinely inspired work.

I will help students to write about artwork by talking together about interesting examples to think about ways of describing materials, techniques, or subject matter. I will give good examples and methods for finding good research material.

For portfolio preparation I can give constructive critique like real crits at art school! This is an important thing for putting together strong portfolios, and choosing your best work. I am also able to teach students how to create beautiful digital portfolios using Powerpoint or Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign).
