Rowan Pattison

I am a guitarist who as enjoyed a diverse career touring almost every continent, working with signed pop artists, Musical Theatre, and jazz ensembles. I work closely with people from varying backgrounds, singer songwriters, Producers, Labels ect and aim to help young aspiring musicians who are hoping to make a career from music or develop their skills needed to achieve their goals. I hold a bachelor degree with first class honours and was offered the Masters scholarship for Royal Academy of Music, London.

My teaching is often tailored to 3 areas depending on the desired outcome:

Professional guitarist - We set goals and focus on the material needed to become a working guitar player. Maybe you want to work in a pop band, theatre, tour the world or play in cover bands for events.

Singer songwriter - This is aimed at vocalists who want to accompany themselves and write/produce their own songs, we aim to record at least one song, fully produced each term. I teach you how to do home recordings, use Logic pro and other computer software and write music. We look at guitar techniques and music theory suited to the genre you are interested in.

Just for fun! - I understand not everyone has their goals set on being on the big stage, this route means we focus on learning songs, and the songs you are interested in, there's low pressure and more focus on getting enjoyment out of playing music.
