As a math and physics tutor, I adopt a holistic teaching approach, focusing on the individual needs of each student rather than adhering strictly to a linear curriculum. This adaptability allows me to tailor my lessons to different learning styles, ensuring that complex concepts are accessible and engaging. My sessions often incorporate a mix of visual aids, practical examples, and interactive problem-solving to foster deep understanding. I've successfully guided students in achieving and often exceeding their academic goals, utilising diverse methods such as unique approaches to theory, real-world applications, and interactive simulations (I love using Desmos where I can, to bring maths concepts to life). This lesson structure not only builds confidence but also inspires curiosity and a love for the subjects. My experience with a wide range of students has honed my ability to identify strengths and areas for improvement, making me an effective tutor dedicated to unlocking each student's full potential. I am equipped with several ways of sharing notes and whiteboards, that both the student and I can type and draw on simultaneously, as if we are sharing a classroom. If it is requested by a student/guardian, I can show all of this in a personalised learning action plan, to map out a timeline of different learning methods, topics, and the goals for the tutoring sessions. I have a younger brother with learning difficulties who I have tutored through his GCSEs, so I am more than capable and eager to take on all kinds of students of different levels, expectations, and goals.
