I structure my lessons to be very interactive and engaging and my teaching style is student-centered; I offer individualised feedback and am always available to help if you have questions or need extra support.
With primary lessons, they are centred on being engaging and fun. I do this by using a variety of interactive methods which cater to different learning styles to encourage creativity and curiosity. For example, storytelling and imagination, creative arts and crafts and interactive games.
The format is flexible and I focus mainly on what has worked previously in our lessons to make sure that each one is personalised to your individual needs. I find that building a strong relationship with my students helps to create a positive learning environment. I take the time to get to know my students, learn about their interests, and find ways to incorporate them into our lessons. This approach not only makes learning more enjoyable but also fosters a sense of trust and openness, allowing students to feel comfortable asking questions and expressing their thoughts.
I studied English Literature and Language, Politics and Philosophy and Ethics at A-Level and finished with grades A, A, B. I also have an undergraduate degree from the University of Birmingham in Anthropology.
I bring a year of experience in working with children in a nursery, which has made me more compassionate and understanding while working with children. I will also be completing my primary PGCE degree at UCL in September of this year so I am currently preparing for that.
I look forward to helping you achieve your learning goals. If you have any questions, just ask!
