I am a positive, encouraging and dedicated individual with the sensitivity, patience, and emotional awareness required to respond to young people’s individual needs. I possess three years of experience tutoring, providing comprehensive support and facilitating group interventions for SEN primary school students and adult learners in a wide range of educational settings.

My experience has included tutoring students with SEN aged 5-16, covering whole classes in years 1-2, running intervention groups in anger management, phonics and SLT and facilitating art and wellbeing workshops. My training in trauma informed teaching, student centred approach, adaptability and skills in differentiated instruction allows students to reach their potential.

I tailor each lesson to each student, drawing on their individual learning styles. I compose my own materials to utilise kinaesthetic and visual methods of teaching. I come from an artistic background having practiced fine art initially. This practice has allowed me to develop creative ways of communicating and connecting with students. I apply these varied creative communication skills when supporting individuals with communication disabilities and learning difficulties, utilising methods of teaching that go beyond the limited framework of learning set up in mainstream education.

You will find me to be highly flexible to a wide range of learning difficulties and individual needs. I provide high standards of individualised support whilst creating a positive and fun learning environment which allows students to thrive.

Rosie worked for my two young sons as a full time homeschool teacher FROM 2021 to April 2022. Her work ethic was outstanding and she brought about new and innovative ways to engage with and teach the children daily. Her record keepting and reporting on their progress was great and she took real care to introduce project based learning to the boys. She is creative and thoughtful and brilliant with teaching children. I recommend her style and teaching capability very much.

Rosie worked with my son throughout year 4. Ben has dyslexia and struggled with literacy, falling behind at school. Rosie offered engaging and fun lessons that helped Ben to go from an Oxford level 6 to Oxford level 12 in just a year, simply by using engaging playful teaching techniques. Ben is now a lot more confident and interested in school and we are grateful for this.
