I’m a part-time dentist, part-time tutor with a range of experience in tutoring and mentoring. My passion for tutoring stems from being able to help children develop confidence so that they can reach their full potential.

I am particularly passionate about teaching younger age groups and can tutor in Maths and Science for children aged 7-14, including preparation for 11+ examinations. Having done Maths and Sciences at A-level and a dentistry degree, I have the knowledge to teach these subjects proficiently.

Whilst at school and university, I taught maths to younger students and through the Youth Education Learning Program (YELP), I have tutored Year 10 students preparing for their GCSEs in Science.

My teaching style is interactive and fun, allowing students to engage with the content being taught. I like to have an introductory session with students to identify areas that they would like me to focus on, and what styles of learning they are more at ease with, so that I can tailor my lessons individually for each student.

Building up a strong academic foundation early on in life is invaluable, and I feel that together with my academic background, and my knowledge of the current school curriculum I can really help tutees identify their strengths and weaknesses. I aim to reinforce and build on concepts taught at school and enjoy tailoring my teaching style to best suit each individual tutee.

For me, tutoring is incredibly rewarding as it can really help inspire and motivate students to achieve their goals. I look forward to hearing from you!
