I have a lot of experience in tutoring, and being a dental student at university myself, I have a lot of revision tips and techniques to share with my students. I have a 9 in GCSE biology and A* in A level biology, so am competent at this subject and I love teaching. My aim is to build confidence in students learning this subject and improve their overall understanding as well as exam technique. I structure my lessons so that the student informs me of the topic they would like to go through prior to the lesson, and then we cover this thoroughly during the lesson. I use diagrams, key acronyms and repetition of important concepts to help teach biology to my students . The dynamic of my lessons is very student led - whatever they feel they would like to focus on, I am happy to help with. I am an enthusiastic individual who is dedicated to helping my students thrive and feel confident for when they have to sit their biology exams. I create a comfortable working environment for the students to ask as many questions as they like and I make sure to prepare prior to the lesson so it runs smoothly and no time is wasted. I make sure to double check that the student feels the lesson is running at a good pace for them and give them the opportunity to stop me at any point if they do not understand anything. I also provide real exam questions to go through from my experience of sitting GCSE’s and A levels.
