A Biomedical Sciences’ first-class graduate, with a recent completion of a year on exchange in Australia.
I am an ardent, charismatic and passionate individual with a motivation to teach. I have developed interpersonal skills and am able to multi-task and prioritise pushing to be a proficient and adept teacher.
My drive for teaching grew having had previous years of experience in the community and with children, whether it be teaching English to refugees, being a mentor and peer mentor coordinator for Australian university students or, teaching maths to my younger brother and a class fellow at University, who from a fail, achieved a first class!
From achieving a 9 in GCSE Maths and A in sciences, I am aware of the hard work and skill required to achieve good grades at primary and secondary school and achieve academic success. I will tailor my lessons according to each student's level and only go at a pace they like. I like to go through complex concepts and questions comprehensively ensuring the student is positive in moving forward. I aim for lessons to be interactive and fun so students feel uplifted and most importantly, confident after each class.
Providing my student allows me access to resources and their specification they use at school, I will follow the curriculum and take baby steps to ensure great depth of understanding of content to broaden their understanding, increasing competancy and encouraging them to think outside the box. No question is dumb, and I will ensure students always feel comfortable in asking questions so that they are always left satisifed with my tutoring.
With an eagerness to learn and grow with natural self-critique and self-motivation, I don’t think there’s a better way to gain that through teaching itself and inspiring children to reach their potential!
